Project Mustang Part 2,3,4,5,6…

A few months ago I posted a blog on my Project Mustang in which I detailed the JL Audio sound system we installed in the car. Well, we have had a ton of people visit to hear the system, and I am happy to say a fair number bought systems based on this one.

In the past few months we have been busy doing some “other” modifications to the car to enhance areas other than the sound. In no particular order we have added…

  • An Eibach Pro Kit spring set to lower the car and enhance its aggressive stance, and improve the handling and launch characteristics of the car.

  • A Steeda Shifter has replaced the factory unit to allow faster, shorter shifts for when you are in a hurry to get through the gears.

  • A Roush axle back exhaust system has been added to enhance the sound and the breathing of the 5.0 Liter motor. Let’s face it the stock exhaust just does not sound like a muscle car should sound.

  • A Steeda Cold Air Intake has been put under the hood again to enhance the breathing…more air in, more power out.

  • A custom tune has been done to take advantage of the breathing enhancements and increase performance. As a side benefit it has also increased the average fuel mileage as well!

Plus just for looks…

  • A Cervini Duck Tail spoiler was custom painted and put in place of the stock wing. This makes the back of the car look much more period correct.

  • A set of flat black Le Mans style stripes were put from the tip of the front to the end of the tail. These were developed, made and installed completely in house…we can do a set for just about any car in just about any color you could choose. I chose the flat black on the gloss black car to be just a little bit subtle!
