Car Audio Spotlight: Rockford Fosgate’s Power Series T1652S Components

When we announced the return of the legendary Rockford Fosgate lineup to Ask the Advisors and Serious Autosport, we also brought in the newly designed Power Series of speaker systems. After hearing these additions, I can honestly say Fosgate has extended their reputation for quality and durability beyond just subwoofers.

The T1652S Component speaker system brings all of the durability you would expect along with great sound quality- all at a price that’s quite reasonable.

The T1652S includes a set of heavy duty 6.5 inch mid-woofers, audiophile grade fabric dome tweeters and dedicated 2-way crossovers with all the trimmings for mounting. The woofer was designed with an adjustable “Multi-OEM Adaptor” which makes fitting this speaker into most factory applications easy.

Tweeters can be mounted surface, angled or flush with the company’s “DDC” Discreet Dual Clamp which securely holds the tweeter in place. The Crossover includes hi-grade 5% tolerance components which provide longevity and adjustment with the 12/18 dB per Octave slopes. Power handling is a satisfying 100 Watts RMS to 200 Watts peak and this component set grabs a nice frequency range of 55Hz-22kHz; making this a really nice sounding and flexible set of speakers.

With a slim mounting design, these speakers can fit just about any vehicle and offer a great upgrade when combined with a good power amplifier, which I highly recommend to get the full capabilities from these great speakers.
